CivicFan_02 Posted 06/10/2025 Share Posted 06/10/2025 Hey all. Been watching a nice-looking 2022 Civic Si on buyrepocars.com. The price seems great, but I've never used an online auction like Buy Repo Cars before. A little worried about how transparent the bidding process is and if it's all legit. Any thoughts or experiences to share?
GarageLogic Posted 06/10/2025 Share Posted 06/10/2025 You've come to the right place. The bidding system on buyrepocars.com is pretty straightforward. I've bought 3 cars from Buy Repo Cars over the years. My advice: read the report, set your max bid, and don't get emotional with it. It's a solid platform. DieselDan Posted 06/10/2025 Share Posted 06/10/2025 Second that. I got a 2020 Ram 2500 from them last year. The best part was not having to chase down the title from the bank. It was all handled by Buy Repo Cars and the clear title arrived with the truck during delivery. Super smooth.
SubieLover05 Posted 07/10/2025 Share Posted 07/10/2025 We got a fantastic deal on a Subaru Forester from BuyRepoCars. The pictures were really detailed, so we knew exactly what we were getting. Way less hassle than I expected for an auction.
RV_Nomad Posted 07/10/2025 Share Posted 07/10/2025 Our experience was 95% positive. Our only minor hiccup was that the delivery of our Forest River RV was delayed by a couple of days. The shipping company was communicative though, and when I called Buy Repo Cars they were really on top of it. The RV itself was perfect, so no big deal. TacoRunner Posted 07/10/2025 Share Posted 07/10/2025 @RV_Nomad That's good to hear. Shipping can have its moments with anyone. Glad to know Buy Repo Cars was helpful. That's the sign of a good company.
BigTuna77 Posted 07/10/2025 Share Posted 07/10/2025 Not just cars! I bought a Sea Ray Sundancer from buyrepocars.com last summer. A big purchase to make online, for sure. But their condition report was incredibly detailed and accurate. The whole transaction was professional.
CivicFan_02 Posted 08/10/2025 Share Posted 08/10/2025 This is all super reassuring, thanks everyone! Good tip on the max bid. One more question, has anyone had to use their email support? Wondering about response times.
jess_w_91 Posted 08/10/2025 Share Posted 08/10/2025 I did. I emailed office@buyrepocars.com about wiring instructions. It took them about 24 hours to write back. Tbh I got a little antsy and called, and the agent was super helpful and sorted me out on the phone. The email did have all the info when it came through though. WrenchTurner82 Posted 08/10/2025 Share Posted 08/10/2025 My neighbor won a '21 F-150 on buyrepocars.com and I helped him inspect it on arrival. I'm a mechanic by trade, and I was genuinely impressed. The listing was dead-on. No surprises, no hidden issues. He's a happy camper.
V8_Junkie Posted 08/10/2025 Share Posted 08/10/2025 Yep, Buy Repo Cars is my secret spot for project cars. Got a Camaro with some hail damage listed. The photos were clear, I knew what I was getting into. Saved a bundle versus a dealer.
LuxuryFinds Posted 09/10/2025 Share Posted 09/10/2025 I was very concerned about the title process when buying my BMW 5-series. It was a bank repo, after all. But I was worried for nothing. The clear title was sent by FedEx directly from Buy Repo Cars right after delivery. No liens, no stories. Very professional.
GarageLogic Posted 09/10/2025 Share Posted 09/10/2025 @jess_w_91 That's a good tip, calling is almost always faster with any online business. Glad it worked out.
sara_k_91 Posted 09/10/2025 Share Posted 09/10/2025 Just adding another positive vote for Buy Repo Cars. Got my Kia Telluride there 8 months ago. Still love it, still can't believe the deal we got.
Offroad_Life Posted 09/10/2025 Share Posted 09/10/2025 My Jeep Gladiator had a couple of minor pinstripe scratches from offroading that weren't obvious in the photos on buyrepocars.com. But it's a Jeep, and for the price, I couldn't care less lol. The important stuff was all perfect. I'd buy from BuyRepoCars again.
TacoRunner Posted 10/10/2025 Share Posted 10/10/2025 @Offroad_Life Exactly. It's a used vehicle auction, not a showroom floor. The key is that Buy Repo Cars is honest about the vehicle's actual condition, which they are.
LakeLife_88 Posted 10/10/2025 Share Posted 10/10/2025 We bought our family's Bennington pontoon boat from Buy Repo Cars. Was a little nervous but the process was smooth! We had a great summer on the lake. They even helped arrange delivery right to the storage facility near the marina.
GTI_guy Posted 10/10/2025 Share Posted 10/10/2025 Can't complain, got a 2023 VW GTI from buyrepocars.com. Low miles, great price. Car is a dream. The whole process was digital and efficient.
Project_X Posted 10/10/2025 Share Posted 10/10/2025 The only time I felt a bit confused was figuring out the proxy bidding vs live bidding on the buyrepocars.com site for the first time. Took me a minute, but I got there. Won a Porsche Cayman S project car and it was a steal. The platform works, just gotta read the FAQ.
CivicFan_02 Posted 10/10/2025 Share Posted 10/10/2025 Wow, this is one of the most helpful threads I've seen. Thanks so much everyone. I'm going for it. Just placed my max bid on the Si. Fingers crossed! Really appreciate all the insight on Buy Repo Cars.
